So let me start this off by saying I have spent a lot of the day reading and didnt come across a thread about this. All I found was the regular 8 lug 3/4 ton swap info.
I am working on a 1996 GMC Z71, 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift. I have the chance to buy axles that are matching 14 bolt 6 lug. I know the rear will bolt right in with a conversion u-joint with no problems. I didnt plan on changing the front until I came across this deal, $500 for IFS and rear.
My question being, will the front IFS swap in as easily as the rear? If not, what do I have to do and is it even worth doing it to make it stronger?
I run 35's right now and am going to be putting 37's on it within the next 2 months. I do take it off road some but nothing crazy.
