What size tires can I run on a 1986 3/4 ton 4X4 with stock springs?

28" Sears Road Handles, they work great for me. and they have awsome traction off road.

Depends on the brand. I'd say a 28 or 29 inch would be a safe bet for any brand. If you want to go taller, watch out for the companies that actually are pretty close to their advertised dimensions. I'd say you could probably get a 31" BFG in there with very minimal to no trimming.

the later model front fenders have alittle less room then the pre 81 stuff. 12/16.5s will fit for sure, possibly 31s without trimming.
But Stay away from the road handlers, they are and are refered by more dickheads then any other brand according to consumer affairs.

Id agree with the 31" BFG, that is wat we run on two of our trucks, 85' and 86' 3/4 4x4.
