I don't suppose you still have those cutout flares? If so you want to part with them?

Very clean and good looking truck. Very nice job so far.

How do you like the 400 compared to the 350 that was in your original truck? Im currently preparing an sbc 400 to swap into mine to replace the tired old tbi 305 and I'm curious if it'll wake the old girl up a bit.

I've also been looking into making the 400 fuel injected. But apparently you'll need to get a chip burned too... I've read where some people say you'll need the chip and some people say just get a 454 bbc tbi setup and youre good to go.

Anyways, cheers!

I know I argued with my buddies about switching to tbi because I thought my carb did really well. After fighting it for 4 or 5 years I finally found a 88 chevy and ripped out the motor and wiring harness. Wow what a difference efi can make. I didn't know what I was missing. I will NEVER go back to a carb. Go fuel injected if at all possible! Rigs looking GOOD.

That front bar seems like it would limit articulation, being that the shackle is shorter than the spring shackles?

What springs are you running, and what size body lift do you have?

predators are not a bad carb.... but...

they have great throttle response... when tuned right.
They feed the engine all the air it needs.... when the flaps are new.

They will allow you to use a stall converter to its fullest extent... provided you have the right cam and intake for it.

you would have to build an engine around the carb, set up for specifically exactly your one application.

I love them... parts are not easy to find without going to the manufacturer.

good points, bad points.

Do you have a picture of the intake in the cab? Did you feel a power loss? I I have a built 383 and wasn't sure if it would flow enough through a similar carb hat. Thanks
