U joint angle?

What is the max angle that a 1310 ujoint can run at? 1350?

I have a 86 k-5 and my u-joint angles will be 16-17 degrees on both the transfer case and axle. THe axle is pointed up at 7 degrees, the transfer case is pointed down at 6.5 degrees and the driveline has a 23 degree slope.

How long do you think the stock 10 bolt u joint and napa conversion #447 u-joint will last like this?

Well I did that and could not find anything remotely similar to my question....

Well, scratch that, I did find some things, just not the max angle a U-joint should be run at...and if a 1350 will last longer at the same angle as a 1330...

Minimum angle has to do with making sure the needle bearings inside get full rotation so they don't wear grooves (That's what I've been told)

max angle is a whole another thing then that item posted- the 1310 is good to 26 degree's - 1410 is aprox. 28 degree's - 1350 non c/v max 20 degree's - c/v's are a whole other thing- if you have any questions on this or other give me a ring - no strings- Jess
