Dodge dana 60 in a chevy?

I thought I heard somewhere that you could put a dodge 60 in a chevy is this true? I've got a 71 chevy, Is there any major mods that have to be done? I'd put a chevy 60 in, but around here their extinct, and if one should happen to show up they are very pricey. Also if the dodge works, what years?

Thanks, Albie
