A friend of mine just put a Detroit Locker in his 14 bolt FF. The truck will be a road and tow vehicle. He said the thing is making alot of noise, even when it is not in a bind or anything. He has double checked the gear set-up and there was no problem. He is sure it is all in the parts of the carrier that you replace. With an angle finder he found about 30* of play at the yoke. Our question is, is this par for the course or should he be looking at something? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

if he read his manual he would see that about 10* x gear ratio is common for play at the yoke
