Semi-seriously considering ditching my Jeep and building a K5, so . . .
I'm stealing a couple of your tricks & filing them away for future use :D

Really diggin' the H-pipe snaked around to keep it high and tight.

Clean build (which is all I've seen from you) - well done Sir!
Thanks ExWrench! I glad you found something that may help!

Could you please clue me in on the dual oil filter setup? I think that's a great idea! Any detail on parts would be greatly appreciated.
Jeg's, Summit, O'Reillys, etc., will all have single or double filter relocation kits available...Trans Dapt is a popular brand.

We worked on bumpers a bit last week. We have decided to powder coat them...probably a darker silver vein. In preparation, I cleaned up the bottom edge of the front bumper...we're not running a air dam and didn't need all the tabs and holes under there.

My boy said that the 14 ga. red wire is 12V+ (constant or switched), we're doing constant. Black 12 ga. to ground. Obvious huh!, I told ya it was straight forward!

Passenger seat is simple...but the driver side is complicated by the memory function. To bypass that, you will need to feed power to the 16-18 ga. red wire w/black stripe. That's all it takes to have full control over the seat controls...minus memory. We don't think it's worth it to get that deep into both the seat and truck harness/switches.

The factory heaters may be more complicated than their worth...we will probably pull those and replace with aftermarket seat heaters.

We are still using the factory harness plugs on the seat, but will pull those and replace with simple weather pack connectors.

We're only interested in the stock seat position controls...all other functions/alarms/sensors/airbags have been disconnected/removed.

Looking good man but I have to ask about the exhaust. I know on pickups dumping under the bed is fine but on something like a blazer shouldnt you run exhaust clear of the body so cabin can't get fumes? I know you guys sealed the floor up nice on it and all but just wondered, also I had a k5 with the pipes straight out the back before and with rear window down it would gas you out so I did 45's out under rear corners.

Time will tell. The under body dumps were a clean way to finish off the exhaust and control cost...the time and materials going into it weren't cheap.

We also couldn't agree on where we wanted to have an over the axle exhaust exit, neither my son or I liked straight out or 45 out...and really, what else is there?

I was more worried about excessive drone in the cab, but the Borla's may not be that bad.

We figured that we would run it this way for now and see if it bothers us...really easy to go ahead and run it out the back at any time.

Yeah its not hard to add something later if need be and the work on that setup looks killer. Only real choices keeping what you already have done are something like a 90 before the tires, 90 after the tires or 45 after the tires. If you don't mind cutting sheetmetal I guess you could put the exhaust through the lower quarter panel with one of those stainless kits. I always liked the look of the pipes straight out the back tucked close to the hitch on my trucks so that's why I originally ran it that way on the blazer, then the 45's were the quickest way to try and fix the problem without it looking like the stock exhaust sticking out sides.

We got the front of the passenger seat done tonight. Same approach as the driver side but passenger will flip up for rear access.

Simple shit, but still took me a couple hours. :shaking:

It may have been answered but I'll ask the dumb question. Obviously newer seats out of ?... What year?
2017 Silverado

I remember your sons build thread and waiting on progress pics. The Blazer is equally as impressive. I miss having CORE close by.
Thanks SS, the boys truck is sitting in the wings waiting...still. We'll get it done one of these days.
