Well, I guess it's time to "put up" my junk... It's a little fuzzy from the downsizing but, you get the idea. Still gotta loosen that front suspension up, and cut about 20" out of the wheel base, but it's working better than I expected it to at this stage.

Baddog:
![]() I am doing similar things to my 76 Short Bed. With only 4 inches of lift do your 42's have any contact with the front of the cab? I am running a 3" body lift in addition to 4" Rancho front springs and am considering moving the cab back 2 or 3 inches to help clear the tires. What width rim are you running with what backspacing?

I cut off the nut on pinch weld off. Then I beat the pinch weld flat. Then I beat the firewall back a couple of inches at the point (actually comes to a sort of point there) where it was closest to the tire. That worked ok but was really close. My front springs aren't working too well right now and I was afraid it would hit when I get them loosened up. So, I've now moved the axle forward 2" to clear the firewall AND to improve the approach angle.
As for wheels, they are super cheap 15x8 8 lug buggies with 4" of backspacing.

Sweet blazer. The wife wants her 88 to look like that Never gonna happen though. "Got Specs?"Nothing personal but, on a side note, 500k + is kind of big for pics here. Kills us modem guys. First pic is perfect on file size but a tad large in dimension. 800x600 is about right. yours was 1280x960
