Hey. Since I'm Primarilly a Ford Guy, I'm hopeing someone here can give me some info. I have a 350 in an FJ40 that I've narrowed down to a late '70's model heavy duty truck motor ( Mortec, The Dirt Forum, Nasty Z28, etc ), but the question I have is about the heads. Where the old camel hump heads had a desingnation on the front of the heads indicating " camel humps ", my heads have what I have found to be referanced as " Captains Bars ". 2 rectangles cast on the front of the head, and also under the valve cover. Casting number is 3932454, with a date code of k 18 8. From what I have found in my search is Truck, Police, Corvette, quite a broad spectrum performance wise. Anybody know anything about this casting, or able to tell me where to look? Hopeing to build a torquey, 300 Hpish motor. Any/all info appreciated, thanks. Al

The 3932454 head was used on 69-73 307's and 69-79 truck. Your date code means it was cast on November 18, 1978. This would tell me that if it's original it's from a 79 truck.
