'79 454 stock HP/torque numbers?

I just bought a '79 3/4 ton Chevy with a 454. Can anybody tell me what the stock HP/torque numbers are? I've been searching google for a while now but all I can find are modified engines...

I saw that, but it only shows the 454 from 81-86. I know the HP of the 454 varied quite alot from year to year around this time from various emissions BS...I would like to know exactly what my '79 came with.

It doesn't list anything before '81 becasue the big block wasn't a factory option in the 73-87 style trucks till '81. Believe it or not.

I am going to have to call BS on that one. I have seen a '79 K30 at the junkyard with a 454 (checked VIN, too). And GM wouldn't just drop the big block after '72, although that kind of thinking has gotten people in trouble before.

The big block has been available since the 67-72 body style, if not earlier. This truck came from the factory with a 454.

Thats what I was getting at, the 396 was intro'd in trucks in '68 & carried over to '69, then the 402 was used '70-'72, and then the 454 in '73. Not in 4x4's until later, though.

Would that be Daddy's Truck....Just like Daddy's Mustang?

(my dad has one on his '67 mustang)

Or is it your mustang....
I have a '67 fastback mustang with a 390, but I don't drive it. It's an investment only. (and the value has doubled since I bought it a few years ago!)

Or, how about looking at the title once in a while...
The GVW on my '79 camper special is 8200lbs. In the glove box, there's a sticker that says the maximum load is 2376lbs. Does that mean that the curb weight would be 5824lbs? (8200-2376) And why do they call it a 3/4 ton when it holds well over 1 ton?

I'm currently turning a '66 mustang into a boat.

Yep...power company pays $0.05/KWH, I'll let you do the math. Basically I'm selling used oil to the power company at about $2/gallon. I'm thinking about getting a furnace for my house that will burn used oil too...

Pretty good actually, thanks for asking. I have a contract with the L.A. Department of Water and Power to provide them with up to 300 megawatts per month starting in February. Within a year or so, I am going to be opening up a heated boat/RV storage facility on the same location.

PLEASE stop the lies......You are making baby Jesus Cry.

Being a 20+ y/o vehicle, I'm thinking more like 180. And all the MPG to boot.
