well.........
I took the sheep out last night. climbed a hill that no one else could ben broke on it on his third try I made it on the first try So, cocky as I am, decided to unlock the rear and cut some reverse donuts, broke another factory outer. 3 wheel drive I was,.... doing 1 wheel burnouts on the roof of a car. then I decided to test my cage out. 20ish mph across the hay field, hung a left, rolled it on purpose. My cage was golden from all the other roll overs, now, not so good. crushed the A pillar way in, no glass will ever fit again, it is a 1 seater now. then, got back to camp. I just put this 400 in yesterday morning. guess what. during the roll I stayed in the throttle. Broke the fawking case in half this time at the rear when a tire hooked. tally, crushed cage, broken tranny, broken front end, my left front tire sits at a 10 degree angle now, is that bad on a 60? it was a borrowed tranny So I guess that I will be rolling with curt now unless I get the cab pulled back out. Pics to follow, but the digi is at a family gathering right now.

okay, the roll was pretty hard, but like I said, on purpose. .120 wall hrew
anyway, on to the pics the side load on the rear end from landing cracked my link crossmember/shaft loop ![]() pushed the rear end a little sideways (spring not staight now) ![]() started roll on the right front, most grass ended up in the left rear bead ![]() WAS a new tranny ![]() drug the rear on some pretty big rocks before the flop. don't think I can shave it enough to not drag on the pinion

more fun, cab damage
not too bad ![]() looks like glass might still fit! ![]() okay, maybe not ![]() there you go, most likely not ![]() the only bar that gave up was above the pass head. No breaks or tears, no broken welds, just a bend in the middle of the bar.

it should have been ready to rock. new hummer tires on the back, all shiny, sexy. so anyway, he backed off the trailer and ran into his gism (geo prizm) and cut a tire in the first 100 feet. No problem, run it flat, it is a hummer wheel right! wrong. run it nowhere when the intermediate housing breaks clean in half and the transfer case falls OFF the back of your tranny. How cool is that. Looking up in there, it wouldn't have been long anyway. the splines on the back of the tranny were so worn they looked like knives. they were about to strip off. ended his night. Ben. oh man, that was too awesome. he has always known that his rear shaft is the only weak link left. 1330 at the case, 1310/1350 cross joint at the rear end. The injected engine/bulletproof350 from mud racing/203/205/60 front with 1410 shaft are all ready to rock. the pussy rear shaft hooking it all up to that 14 bolt wasn't. I made the hill look stupid with a carburator. He bouced on it a few times before I climbed up and spotted him. Had him lined up very nicely, he got his fronts up on the huge rock ledge at teh top and gassed it when the rear shaft let go. Funny thing is that since the twin stick he has a valve on the rear brake lines for front digs. He had it off with the rear wheels free. Meaning no rear brakes if he pushes them. the hill was steep enough that with teh fronts locked he took off pretty damn fast down the hill backwards screaming at everyone to get teh hell out of the way. a tree caught him by the left rear and spun him sideways. good times. Mine. I don't know whether it was a full moon or my need to show off in front of big crowds. I have a good guess as to which it was, though As far as the sheep getting retired, I think that I will cut the top of the cab off, make the A-pillar bars on both sides out of .180 wall and get a new roof to weld on. I want that truck to make it the rest of the year. Buggy this winter. If not chopping the cab, I am going to run it as a 1 seater for the summer. Bones.......Well, we went to Rounders after the party and we both got shitty. He walked back to Mile's house, I stayed and drank. Mindy called me sometime after close while we were still sitting there drinking and said she was going up to bail him out did I want to ride. I was saddened by it. He said he was going to walk to mile's and crash on the couch. I guess after he got there he felt good enough to drive. happens to the best of us I guess. Anyway, yes, all hell did break loose in P-town. 5 trucks rolled at the party. Wyatt, no problem on the 400 case. Problem is, I might need it back sometime in the next year if I keep breaking them

If those pics aren't an ad for why you need a cage.......
Maybe all the MiCo guys like Clunt Graham, Pete, and crew will rethink wheeling sans rollcage. Glad your ok. I was thinking about all the time my head has spent right around the vicinity of where the upper bar is right now, and its kinda unsettling. |

there is sooooooooooooooooooo much life left in the blacksheep
Just needs cut at the A adn B pillars and a new cab top put on. Bones, you must be friggin old. I didn't feel a thing. It could be ready for disney in a matter of a day and a half or so. Have good glass and more tube out behind the house. Don't want to retire her yet, too much sentimental value. Too many survived rolls Curts is back after I put in 2 cages for people next week. Can't wait!
