Hard shift into reverse turbo 400

Lately after the truck is at normal operating temperature, and after a good drive, when I put the truck in reverse it sounds like it shifts pretty hard, with a clunk and a jolt, only in reverse though, and only when the truck is warmed up, it doesnt do it when the truck is cold, anythoughts?

Soulds like you might have a u-joint thats gone bad or maybe even a rear Ring& Pinion about ready to You might wanna check to see if your rear end has "excessive slop" in the axle......Good Luck.........

Check you flex plate to torque converter bolts. Alos take a look at your U joints...Whens the last time you changed your tranny fluid and filter? Is this a 2WD or 4WD truck? This could add a few more things to check........
