Simple question are the frames for a 77 chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 the same as a frame from a 86 chevy 1/2 ton 4X4. I am pretty shure they are the same but i am just double checking

there are minor differences such as the cab mounts use different styles, front bumper attachment is different, brake line positioning, etc.

they are pretty much the same i have a 81 body on an 73 frame. you have to keep the body mounts off the frame, ie. 73 frame=73 mounts, 81 frame=81 mounts
