TH400 or NP208? HELP!!!
Allright, I am just not getting it. I have a TH400 and NP208 setup. When I try to drive in 2-HI or 4-HI the motor bogs and dies on me, but in 4-LO I don't have a problem at all tranny shifts fine, but takes alot of gas in reverse. Is it the tranny or the transfercase? Any ideas. Tranny fluid is full and so is the T-case. Help!! Don't want to yank anything if I don't have to. Also Could the torque converter have anything to do with the problem?

not an expert, but I'd have to say it's the tranny because you stated it does it in 2Hi as well...

Has the vehicle sat for a long period of time, and now this happend?? If so then I would say you have some stuck or hanging valve in the VB. If it is some thing that has been going on for a while. ie: sliping, shifting erratic, or harsh, I would say you have a direct clutch issue. And or center support issue.
