Anyone in east bay have an obd1 12 pin gm scanner
Anyone out there have a code scanner for a 12 pin obd1 gm?I want to check and see if all my sensors are reading right and be sure truck is entering closed loop mode.I dont really wanna spend over $100 for a tool I won't use much and don't know anywhere that rents the scanners.Tried calling a few shops and they didnt seem to be to intersted in doing it unless they would be doing all the repair work.Somewhere in the east bay would be great since I am sure I would need to come to you since most people I know don't lend out tools

If all you need is to know what code is tripping your SES light use this. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/...ad.php?t=31857

The check engine light is not on and no codes are stored I have already checked but I know some of the high end scanners will give you live readings from the sensors that you can compare to specs to see if sensor is faulty or not.Have been discussions where there were isssues with a sensor but never caused teh check engine light to come on.Also wanted to be sure truc is entering closed loop mode since my smog showed an overich condition
