Installing a Gen1 350 inplace of a Gen2 350w/tbi
I want to use the TBI setup on the Gen 1 350.Truck is a 90 GMC V3500.I was wondering if all the sensors and intake from the Gen2 Will bolt right on the Gen1.
And any horror storys would help, So i know what to avoid. Thanks, Windle

I think the only thing that might be different is the angle of the 4 center bolts on the intake are more staight up and down ,compared to the earlier 350's. You can use the intake but you will have to re-drill the holes to the correct angle to make it work, I did this on my truck and had no problems with leaks or anything. I don't think there were any differnces untill after 92 so you should be ok.

center 4 bolts on the 86+ engines (86 was carbed, 87 started TBI) are drilled at 72* from the intake flange, where pre-85 engines were drilled at 90*. nothing else different. the first real difference started in 96, with the introduction of the Vortec intake flange, everything before that is pretty much bolt on.
