I have seen people use one for a land cruiser. They just heated the corner up and bent it more. Or there is always PVC!!!

i just found the perfect starting point at pepboys.

the chrome company, spectra, that make all the cover, cleaners, and random chrome shit in the black packages, is now makeing a carb hat of polished aluminum that is intended for the cone aircleaner kits. it has a carb base and a 4" 90* inlet for $70 or a dual one is $90 with a 110* spread.

they are $$$ but a very very good start and are a decent thickness.

That sounds ideal, but there are no Pep Boys around here. I'll have to go check out what Advance Auto has.

That's cool stuff. I like that idea because it seems relatively cheap.

Is that tubing that you used for the main body, or did you just bend sheet metal?

had to roll the carb hat from sheet because it's something like 5 1/4" dia. then used 4" tubing and more sheet metal for the snorkle and splash guard.

Here is my stainless steel snorkel on 6.2D. Outer diameter 110mm.
PVC pipe looks cheap and remainds the toilet, so that is no go.

Do you run a cone filter on the end of that, or are you not worried about having a filter because it's inside the cab?

S10 guys: Do any of you have a snorkel running through the firewall while still having the stock heater box? Am I alone here?

Thanks for all the pics and ideas so far

Jr4x4ee, That snorkel looks very functional. Do you have an aircleaner on the end of that? Or just one inside?

Just one under the hood. Green Monster Twister.
Just ends behind the cabin. Has a small net inside, to prevent flying debry to enter the snorkel.

Looks nice and seems like it works. Aren't you worried about it getting smashed by tree branches and other trail hazards?

Its tough enough to take beating from tree branches. Well connected to the body and if I smash it then hey, I can get to build better one.
