Red star, what red star? Where? What's a red star for?

Shut up unless you have something useful to say.

Oh, yeah, I musta forgotten I was on Pirate, I musta have been thinking I was somehwere with friendly and helpful wheelers, instead of people that either tell you the same old thing without thinking, or try to tear you down. Thanks for reminding me guys.

Wouldn't one think that since I HAVE a red star, I MUST know how to use it, and MAYBE I hadn't had much luck. Try searching for narrow, narrowed, or narrowing, and you get swamped. People narrow everything, but not cabs so much, and I didn't have 3 years to keep trying to sort thru it all trying to find narrowed cabs. The point of a FORUM is DISCUSSION, like a CLUB or group of FRIENDS or people with similar interests. Like, "Hey, I was thinking about this, do you think it would work?" "Yeah, I did it like this, check it out." Not "GO FIND IT YOURSELF NEWB!". What would happen if that's how car/4x4 clubs operated in real life? It wouldn't work, they would cease to exist. Give me a break guys, Pirate makes me sick. I've lurked here for years, digging tech, and everyone once in a while I decide to try asking something again and all I get is crap, hence my frustration. I didn't mean to bite yer head off, 72blazer, it was late and I forgot the . I posted the same question the same time on another forum and I got helpful responses, not the cold shoulder or teeth, so don't tell me it's my probelm, cuz it's not. It's Pirate's culture, which is YOUR culture. Everyone I know, online or not lurks at Pirate, but says not to post cuz somene is gonna give you crap, and it's true.

Whatever. If anyone has any info, wanna show your build, fine, if not, I'll GO FIND IT MYSELF.

I agree. I've lurked on pirate for almost 10 years in one form or another, but mostly I just find people being lazy and rude anytime questions are asked. I never want a red star until I see this change. Any other forum on the internet
will at least make small talk with you. I read alot of forums every evening and this is the worst when it comes to this sort of thing.

Now back on topic. Why make the cab narrow, won't the trails do that for you? At least they do here in Ohio.

...lol...the red star is worth every penny if you know how to use it...even if you don't have one, you can still search. head over to ck5 & i'll be a lot nicer to you...it all comes with the territory so don't cry too much.

Maybe it's the hardcore crawler yota and jeep guys that are jerks. Always seem stuckup, and can't carry on a normal conversation without being vulgar. I was initially rude to '72, but he's cool, and yotamangus has to drag the whole thing out. Drama queen. Fullsize and trail guys always seem nicer. One shouldn't generalize, but it seems that way.

Good point

I'd like to have an enclosable cab with A/C for summer wheeling that fits down the trail, and I like fullsize Chevys.

I don't care what I caught, and what I didn't, unless it's tech. I don't come on here to BS and socialize, and if I did, I wouldn't do it with the likes of you.

Thanks for the link.

yeah this is pirate, people get flamed a lot. If you searched, just mention that you searched and couldnt find what you were looking for. but in the defense of flaming, a lot of people will ask a question that is one or two posts down. or they come on here to ask what kind of oil to use etc. just totally stupid shit. some people wont even try and help themselves. they want everyone else to do everything for them. im not saying you shoulda been flamed or not. and about people flaming......everyone is an internet bully it seems. the best thing to do is IGNORE IT.

Judging from your handle and your sig, it's pretty obvious you're no newb, too.

I have some 60s for sale if you're interested.

I have about 3 hydro setups. One unknown, given to me in a box. Probably only good for a core. I have one in the '84 CC K30 and one in the '81 C30. They may or may not be in good shape. Both have sat, and I'll have to check and see if the lines were closed off or not.

Yah, thanks....I'm a CK5er too...I've seen those before, but they're all good.

What I'm really looking for though is Cab narrowing, the whole thing, not just tapering and dovetailing the front and rear.
