will a flat top knuckle off a dodge work for a chevy d44?

No it will not. the castings are completely different. the brakes will not bolt up with out serious grinding. the caliper mounts on a dodge are cast and held on by two large studs. you can use the dodge brakes, but you will have to swap everything including the rotors.
