get some better front shackles. it looks like the stock ones you are using have the spring end resting on the frame. ORD sells a kit that comes with greasable bushings, thicker bolts and longer thicker shackles. At the very least make one that are twice as thick as stock and longer.

You might want to do something about your battery hold down as well.

Nice fab work, but you should think about making some square drive lines.they are stronger and look better. but over all.... stronger.
And going off the other guy, work on the shackles. From the looks of things, your guy knows how to fab(so-so),, have him fab you up some shackles. see ya on the trails... |

The sterling was free so I diddnt complain. The shackles are a known issue and will be corrected when the funds are available. The wheel base is 118 and I plan on going to 38s soon.
Question for you guys. I accidentaly ran it out of gas and now it wont start except for priming the carb. Any Ideas? |

Checkout DIY4X.com for shackles & greasable bushing bolt kit, these are cheaper than ORD. I have used ORD shackles and just bought longer shackles from DIY4X and im very impressed with the quality of them.

Fuel filter has a bunch of junk in it off the bottom of the tank maybe?
I would run the Sterling. The only problem I have heard with those is the ring gear bolts comming loose. But that can be cured easily enough

Maybe we should all swap around, because I was puttin this Chevy rear axle in my Dodge... Was I breaking a rule when I had a Dodge 60 in my Chevy?
I dunno, something about the fact that it's a STERLING rear end, a DANA rear end, etc makes me not give a damn what it's out of. I want it to work, and I want it to get up the damn obstacle. Sorry for hijacking your thread, man.

Pull the carb apart and clean it. Idle circuits are likely clogged.
As for the rest of these guys, I say build whatever the hell you want to. One question though, with how big a chevy cab is already, why make the rear cage like 6" bigger all round?
