52's up front and 56's in the rear with a shackle flip.

I personly like 3" wide Ford 57's in the front...they seam to last longer...

agree with the above, but if you want a spring that will just replace your current ones without much other effort, I would look into the Tuff country springs. i have the 4" HD ones and they flex pretty nicely. along with a 1" milled zero rate (to help angle) and a 1" body lift i got ~ 6" of lift. zero rate, and shackle flip in the rear.

they have a 6" spring too, but i have no personal experience with that.

52's front and 56", 57", or 63" rears are WELL worth the work. Best bang for the Buck as far as flexy leafs go.

Ive run 2 Tuff Country 4" HD lifts- 1 SB, one in a blazer- and have liked them fine for flex. Both rigs had standard rear shackles- one had blocks in the rear, one had Rancho(?) 4" rears springs. Depends on how much work you want to make it.

I use 63" springs in the rear of my 75 with a 4" shackle flip and they flex a ton.

Where does this leave the axle in relationship to stock location?

I run the Deaver 6 inch springs. They flex awesome! Worth the extra dollars. They make normal length and extended. Poly Performance carries them.

On mine it pushed it about 4" forward from what I can recall. Do a search under my name in the chevy forum back around Jan 2002 (at least that's when this pic is dated). I did a writeup on them and had all my numbers on that post.

I have yet to bend one of these springs. But I bent 4 sets of 2.5" wide springs before these.....both aftermarket lift and custom ones built from 52" chevys.

If you want to leave the axle in the stock location and also interested in a "bolt on" above is the best way to go. They can even make you custom length and axle location I'm sure of it. Personally I went the cheapo flex route. Two sets of junk yard springs (52's front and 56's rear) and very happy with the flex. In fact I had to put a limit strap on the pass. side to keep from breaking another front driveline.

I run stock 52"s up front and 56"s in the rear with a shackle flip.

nice rig . i think i want to stay pretty close to stock as far 52 long but i am really thinking about doing 4" shackle flip with 6" HD shackles and a 1" leaf . that should give me 6" lift total . i think .
