vortec 4.8l to th350?

ive got a 2004 vortec 4.8 and was wondering if a th350 trans from a 1980 burban will bolt up it or will i need a different converter/ flexplate?

Yes it will bolt up right up it has the standard Chevy bolt pattern! Check the crank flange if it has a wide flange then you won't need a spacer.
If its the narrow one then you will need a spacer or the correct torque converter to make it work because of the differnt crank off set of the Gen IIIs VS the Gen I.

thanks, what converter would i need if its a narrow one. i need to buy a converter anyway. should the flexplate work no matter what or would that need to be changed also.

The 4.8L flex plate will work might have to elongate the TQ converter holes in hte flex plate alittle.
But, any good transmission shop should to get the right converter you need for the swap.

If you can't find any help then you can run a stock TH350 verter and use the spacer kits available
