electrical problem
hey
I got a 1981 chevy k10 scottsdale When my truck is off and i disconect the negative battery termental and put a 12V test light from the negative battery post to the ground wire the test light goes really bright and slowely goes out until it turns off. I don't get why this is happening... does this meen something is still running when my truck is off?.... but then the test light turns off, what does that meen???? hopefully this makes sense to you... if you have any questions please ask and i will try to tell you what i know thanks for the help |

that's normal... most vehicles (especially newer ones) will spark when you hook up the battery.... I think it's usually the alternator but there other things that can cause this for example the batt constant on your stereo or an amp can draw for a second to charge up a capacitor. Unless your batt is running down while parked don't sweat it.
