Is there a 4:1 kit for the NP205? In all my searching, the only thing I have seen is the 3:1?. Are there limiting factors on the NP205 not allowing a 4:1 ratio?

Nope, a stock case doesn't have room for 3:1 let alone 4:1!

The 3:1 needs an aftermarket housing which = $

lomax kit is new gears and case. you reuse all of you stock bearings, plates and shift rails/forks. you can buy a rtr from them but supposedly its $2300. the kit alone was $1300-1500 last i checked.

i could be wrong but i could have swore i was reading in four wheeler mag a couple months ago that someone was making a 4:1 kit for 205's. and i remember seeing that they replaced the case too

just check and our local shop sells the Lo-Max gears and case for $999...not a bad price, when comparing a rebuild 205 sells for $750-900 depending on Trans Application

Checking into the doubler is what got me interested in the NP205 4:1 or the lack of a 4:1. A doubler w/NP203 and D300 with a 4:1 is doable.
