Yota Switchin To Chevy.
I'm a Yota man with a 1985 toyota pickup, 6 inch lift 37-14.50s.
I am looking at a trade for a 1973 chevy 3/4 ton. I'm just wondering what I should look for when I go and check this truck out. I dont know Chevys well as I said, I am a Yota man. It has a 4 Bolt Main. 350 Tranny. Has shift kit installed and aftermarket tranny cooler. Has Headman long tube headers with 3in dual exhaust Flowmaster 40 series. IT has a strong 350 with edelbrock intake, Carb, RV cam, and tall valve covers. I dont need tips on buying a truck, I just need to know if there is anything that normally goes wrong with a 73 chevy 3/4 ton.

x2 on the cracked frame behind the steering box. Also stick your head under the truck and take a peek at the back side of the rocker panels. As well as the kick panels in the interior just above where they meet the floor. Also if the truck has been wheeled much they like to crack the front crossmember that goes under the oil pan. Usually those will crack right where they are riveted to the frame.
