Ever Broken A Dana 60 Knuckle??

i Am About To Do A Hi Steer Kit In My 1 Ton Chevy On 40's,,, I Was Wondering If Anybody Ever Heard Of The Knuckles Braking Where The Arms Bolt To ( Top Piece) If So,,,any Pics

I haven't buy have seen a lot of pictures on here from others who have.... You should do some searching in the general area.

You name the part and sure as hell someone somewhere has broken it. I run 42's without issue as of yet, but like said above, I've seen lots of pics of cracked knuckles in Gen4x4. Seen some modify the stockers or just do business with Crane.

A friend recently broke a Ford 60 knuckle. Yes I know they are very different but this just goes to show it can and (around here at least) is frequently done.

i run 42s with high steer and havnt had any problems yet, i love having high steer and would never go back, if it ever breaks oh well shit happens

I've seen 3 ford knuckles fail like pictured above. Never a chevy.

a friend broke both knuckles the same weekend, different days. it sucked ass. buy some real knuckles. we left one just past the ledge on claw hammer.

never did, but went Dedenbears so I can beat on it and run full hydro to the hi steer arms and not have to worry.

If you have hydro assist, you'll accelerate the stress on the top part of the knuckle vs having just the steering box doing the work.

Since I'll have hydro assist I going with aftermarket knuckles and being done with it.
