Probably a 203, but the only way to tell for sure would be to look. Look for a small circle(2" approx) with 3 bolts in it on the back side of the t-case. If its there you have a 205. Or look and see if the tag is still there, it will say np203 or np205 just a thought.

How about the obvious...how many positions does the shifter have?
NP205=2Hi, N, 4Hi, 4Lo NP203=4Hi, 4Hi Lock, N, 4Lo, 4Lo Lock Another idea would be to look at the front axle. It's not surefire, but if you have manual locking hubs you either have an NP205 or an NP203 that has been converted to part time operation most likely. If you have drive flanges then you most likely have an NP203.
