700r4 tv cable problem
Does anyone have a measurement of the adjustable part of the throttle valve cable for a 700r4 (the part of the cable that clicks when being adjusted) ? I think mine is to short. I have an 88 GMC k1500 the end of my tv cable broke so I went and bought the motormite replacement cable. After installing the cable I was attempting to adjust it and after pushing the cable all the way in and rotating by hand to wide open throttle the cable housing runs out of room for adjustment, the flat part comes to far out. Thanks in advance for any help.

![]() Looks like 1-1/8inch or so... I found this tv cable in in my garage. I think it used to be in my 90 chevy truck. Thats as far as i could pull the adjuster out.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is about the same 1 1/4 but it seems like it needs to be at least 1/8 inch longer to not pull all the way out at wot. I have looked at everything with the exception of dropping the pan to look at the actual throttle valve.
