truck has 350tbi, semifloater 14 and is 8 lug, could u get these with a th400 or was it 700r4 only?

You most likely have a th400 (3L80).

was just curious is all buddy had a th400 in his burb and broke the housing, blew it and swapped a 7004 right in and blew it and threw another 400 in it, i was just curious if it was stock didnt expect it to interchange that easy with a 700r4

1/2 ton = 700r4 most of the time
3/4-1tons = th400.

Seriously go drive the truck and feel how many shifts you feel and report back. i can look and tell the difference. actually you can do a google search to figure this one out.

Could be either or. Lot's of 3/4 tons came with 700's in them.

Look at the pan. Rectangle=700 Funky bloated Texas shape=400 Square with corner cut off=350

It wouldn't have come factory with a 350, but they were common to see swapped in place.
