What is the Proper way to clean a K&N air filter

Spend 10 bucks get a refill kit. Spray the soapy water on and then rinse, dry, and apply the oil.

Don't try to not use a kit either and make up your own... saw an idiot try that and ruined his filter.... just spend the $10 bucks and but the K&N kit.

this is my first 4x4 and it had a K&N Filter in it
I'll go shell out the cah and pick up the kit

Make sure when you rinse the filter with water that you rinse the dirt out of the filter and not deeper into it. I screwed up doing it my first time, luckily i had got most of the dirt out before i rinsed it.

Rinse from the inside out! If ya get the kit it has detailed instuctions for cleaning.
