like i said i havnt seen it, just know what my bro has told me. i will take a look for him anyway as its already got a huge lift and 39 inch tires. it needs some work and 39s are a little big for the 44 and 12 bolt.

The 205 was a RARE option. If it has a 205 it will be listed on the sticker in the glove box if it's still there. If it says "fulltime" it came with a 203.
That sticker will also list any optional gears and lockers. If it has no gear ratio listed then it is the stock 3.08. Gear changed by previous owners are always possible. Now a 205 could have been swapped in. A 205 will have a round mid shaft retainer plate with THREE bolts between the rear output and and the front output bearing suport cover. look for that if the guy selling is saying 205. Look for rust. These trucks are very prone to the floors rusting out (I know I have a 75, look at the link in my sig for how bad they can rust out) check the rockers and rocker boxes VERY carfully. Behind the front wheel is a oval hole into the front of the rocker boxes. There will be a vertical peice of metal there, stab it with a screw driver. If you punch through you got problems. That's the front cab suport. The the inner vertical piece on the box for rust also. The bottom is galvanized but the rest is just steel. The bottom being solid hides a lot of rust problems. Kewl trucks and the topless thing is great. Just some stuff to watch out for.

I have seen other 73-79 trucks with 205/350. Granted it is rare, but they're out there.
