eldelbrock carbs. There are 3 holes on the accel pump linkage. To adjust for a bigger squirt, use a lower hole (as in towards the motor)correct? And to lessen the squirt, adjust up towards the air cleaner? Simple shit always throws me off........

any how, yes, if you move the linkage down you will get the booster shot sooner.

they do make offroad needle and seats for that carb, easy to change and works wonders. I have had one for years and it works at pretty wild angles
