brake backing plates

I am rebuilding a front axle out of a 81 k20 and the backing plates are all rusted out and i can't find new ones any where. None of the local parts stores can get them and the dealer told me they are discontinued. LMC truck only has the front ones for 2 wheel drives. Does any one know where i can get them? Any help would be appriciated.
thanks
