4.3 vortec in samurai help

Im putting a 99 4.3 vortec in my samurai with a th350/np205. I have most of the harness except the black plug at the computer. Does anybody know the specifics of what is in this plug or a diagram?

Also the stock exhaust manifolds will hit the motor mounts. So i needs some ideas on a manifold that will have clearance below it.

I'm not sure how much help I can give on this, But 4.3L's came in a lot of cars and trucks. But they're all in the same range shape wise for vans, trucks, and SUV's (as far as I know). I think S10 manifolds are little smaller than van style but not by much. You might be able to work with some car style manifolds, probably under the hood of 78-87 Chevy G-Body's specifically Monte Carlo's and Malibu's. Also you might have some luck with manifolds for a V6 Caprice they're a little different than the truck/suv or van style versions. Don't know if they'll fit your needs since I don't know how much room you need to make and I cant quite remember what they look like off the top of my head.

If you can't find ones that work, and you have a welder and fab skills (Which you probably do if you took on this swap ). You could make your own manifold pretty cheap. They make these iron pipes that come in straight lengths, various angles 45/90 degree etc. and T joints that you can get at the hardware store. They're for plumbing, sometimes they're called Weld-L's, but people have had success making turbo manifolds out of them for applications where no one makes a turbo setup or custom setup. They can make a really compact manifold... Here's a link or two to people who did it for a turbo setup just to give you an idea. http://www.full-race.com/prototype/FRTEST/testmani1.jpg
http://sdsefi.com/techheader.htm Only in your case, instead of a collector/turbo flange just have it dump directing into your exhaust. It would be really primitive and probably wouldn't flow to great, but it would also save a lot of space. Or you could get some cheap headers if you can find them and cut and reshape them to fit, or "persuade" them to fit with a hammer.

Sorry if that's not very helpful... At least I tried.
