Help with Turbo-Hydra-matic Transmissions
Hi guys. I have 3 transmissions that I'm trying to determine exactly what they are so I can accurately describe them to sell. One is on a '78 Suburban so after getting some previous help from some Mud members I assume it's a TH 400. The tag says Either "G" or "C" on the left and "H" on the right. In the middle it has a "78" and then on the same line it's stamped "369". On the bottom of the tag it is stamped "79-CH 18986" It is stamped "Hydra-matic Div. of GMC" on the bottom of the pan.
Transmission #2 has a tag that also says Hydra-Matic on the top and then a "C" on the left of the tag, a "P" on the right of the tag and in-between it has "78" and then it's stamped "374". The bottom of the tag says "78 -CP- 18555. Transmission #3 has a square pan. I couldn't find any tags but there are large "K"'s stamped into the housing and "MD 8" and I also found a "1" stamped into the housing. Thanks, appreciate your help!
