Help with propane adjustments

Ok guys, i have a 350 .040 over, domed pistons, 515 solid cam, 1.6 roller rockers....etc. I just mounted a 450x and an x-1 propane kit with a large forklift tank. I have it so when warmed up it idles at 900. But when cold its not so steady, im new at this propane stuff, is that how it is..? When i first put it on i primed it and it started right up but stalled, i adjusted the adjustment on the baseplate so it idled but there are other adjustments that i didnt touch....help on this is greatly appreciated....thanks guys.

Also noticed on the carb, if you look inside the top the washer and the spring shakes and makes a lil noise, Im imagining its supposed to shake. But if you touch it it stops shaking and the idle calms down a little. I have the idle at 900 now, when warmed up it runs and idles perfect. From what i found the screw in the front is the mixture screw, i just today got it to barely smell like pane when warmed up. Still to idles rough when cold until it gets to 100 on my guage. The truck runs alot cooler also, i have a 160 in it and it barely gets to 150.
