A friend of mine has a 1009 CUCV with the 6.2 and TH400. He replaced his modulator valve and it was shifting really harshly so he adjusted the Vacuum Regulator Valve on the side of the injection pump. Now he has no forward gears at all but it will go into reverse.

Does anyone have any ideas on what we can check before he spends $90 on a diagnostic at the tranny shop?

i could be wrong but I remember when my modulator lost vaccum it just wouldnt come out of 1st, kinda sounds like a internal issue.
