Courses run between 4 and 9 miles, terrain will depend on what is available at the sites. But plan on a mixture of rocks and desert trails and gravel or dirt roads. Cousre will allow for all classes to have fun without being to damaging

SO just as a point of Clarification: something this, with rear skins to imitate a stock rig would still be in MODIFIED Trail class but wouldn't qualify for STOCK Trail because the whole rear "floor" of the tub is gone? Even with rear skins? The frame and passenger area is 'stock'.

How would I need, or would I need to change the "door bars" for either class?




The front suspension is radius arm/coil spring, so that probably puts me out of STOCK class anyway, in this form. But to meet some other rules I have been thinking about going back to leaves so I'm more interested in if the rest of the rig would cut it for "Stock"...

That door bar would be the absolute minimum allowed, for your own safety I would add a little height and a cross bar to that.

Good to note, the bar was built originaly with more trail wheeling in mind but its easy enough to add.

What about the whole rear being cut off like it is and then stock skins but back on? Out of Stock class as well? Other than weight and ease or maintance and repair, it doesn't really offer a suspention advantage that wheel tubs wouldn't allow. Assuming one didn't push shocks up to were the "bed" was.

In the trail class, it says stock type suspension.

For example a TJ which uses an OEM link suspension, would long arms be OK since they are a link suspension.

And YJ, truck etc. leaf springs, can they be longer then OEM lengths.

I ran the stock class in Tuscon Az in the SW series. I run a 3 link LA and i was good. i was just under the impression for stock class you need oem style suspenison. I.E. if your jeep has coils up front and leafs in the rear you must still have coils in the front and leafs in the rear. And 35's for stock where as mod is 37's but could be wrong.
