A week and a half ago I was 100% ready. Then I went to Cali and fought the hammers, and they won. Now I need a new engine and trans and a little bit longer list of crap to button back up, but first I have to figure out how to get my rig down.

I have a couple things to fix...
repair passenger side of engine bay due to rollover fire rebuild motor replace trans valvebody replace throttle cable cut off the back foot or so of the car and fix all the swaybar issues. clean the engine bad from fire extinguisher crap maybe replace some tube race prep the car who knows what else. KOH certainly won this round...

Looking forward to this years TREC races. Would still love to help get Annabelle Road connected with one of the races to put on a show Friday or Saturday, maybe one of the bigger races like UMC or WeRock...they are good friends of ours so we could make something happen. The TREC crowd would love it.
PM me for details. www.annabelleroad.com

Oh man...
I'll be there, but in the meantime: - Finish relocating battery & running new power wiring - Build mounts & install front coilovers - Rebuild rear shocks - Set up steering, probably relocate steering box - Put interior back together - Build rear ladder bar - A million other little things. ...needless to say, the Cherokee got a few upgrades over the off season

Looks interesting wakebabe! I think Kyle could be interested in that. I know for the UMC last year we had a band. I would suggest calling the badlands directly and asking for Cabe!

If you have a problem with something I would just call Kyle he has always been avalible for me. Also you have to keep in mind the price to race. Your not going to all the bells and wistles for 125 dollars a race. I think they do a great job and can't weight for the season to start.

Unless there is a miracle, we won't have the new rig done for the 1st race.

Team Dirty Willys
A Class
Giving it a beatdown 2/25 at the Badlands, and 2/26 if it lives thru Saturday and we're not to hungover. ![]() ![]() Window nets, some paneling, submarine belt mounts, rollover catches & mount the light bar is really all there is left to do to race. Might relocate the rear shocks, but we'll see.

I should be there for the first race but if the sxs class does not grow I might only come back for 1 or 2 more races.I would rather drive 10 hrs to race against 20 or 30 utvs than drive2 hrs to race against 4 or 5 in my class.I would have no problem if they upped the 50 entry to a 100 or even 125 if they are gonna keep payouts consistent.I understand that the utvs are a "sideshow" and they are more focused on the a,b,c class but people like watching utv racing.what fun would it be for people to watch the race on the big hill if only 4 or 5 a class guys do the jump compared to watching the "a" class and the utvs jump.I think some bigger jumps in mx track to get people interested in watching would help also with a bigger spectator turn out.just my .02

I was wondering if there was enough interest for a 'trail rig' class.
I enjoy the competition. but I cannot and do not wish to build an other rig to compete with trucks built KOH style. I had talked to larry, but he never got back with me. |

There technically is a trail class, class C. Pretty much stock rigs. Check out the rules!
I too hope the UTV class grows. It is exciting racing especially with the high average speed of the UTV's. The first couple races last year had quite a few rigs.

B also supports a lot of trail type rigs. But I'd guess you would have to put up pics or description of what you are trying to run. It's hard to tailor rules to everybody's personal rig.

A- It kicks ass and should be able to compete with class A rigs B- It's a safety hazard and it's in your best interest not to race. Class B and C pretty much covers any rig, as long as it meets basic safety rules

weps - Maybe you can read, but APPARENTLY you cannot understand the rules. Almost all of class C are daily drivers such as brand new Grand Cherokees (no kidding here), stock newer SUVs, or mild lifted Jeeps, Nissans, etc that guys bought for $500 and put in safety gear and MAYBE new tires (i.e. bald used tires from craigslist) Most of these guys drive them there and drive them home after the race. Most drive them on the trails all day (hence "trail rig") and then line up at 5 O'clock to race. They are not fast, nor do they ride like Cadillacs on the trail. These guys are out to have a fun day of wheel to wheel racing with their normal "trail rigs". And they do have a blast. It is fun to watch them go at it in stock 90's vintage Cherokees with 2" of lift and 30" bald swampers. Most trail rigs actually are too built for C and have to run in class B because they have items that, wait for it, the RULES say they cannot run in class C! Larry and Kyle put together Class C so that the average guy can take his wife's daily driver, or buy a $500 beater, and race (with mild safety gear). So once again (and from an apparent "noob") I suggest you read the rules again and take a look at pictures from last year. Or better yet, come on out to the first race, hang out with us in the campground/pits, swap stories, and watch the race.
