I finished 9th out of 30 or so 1 cars two years ago. 17th overall.

What do you all want to do?
I was a little disappointed that the format changed and we were in the small race as well. I would like to see all the 4400 in the main either way, but I dont think any of us are running for series points in BITD so C1 is an option. Planning on running C1 at parker for the BWDC too so.... What everyone else want? Im good either way.

Not that I have a dog in the fight either way since there's still no way i'll be in a car by then, but looking through the list of names who've replied in this thread, I only see 1 other person who's been on the track they're going to be using.

In my suggestion, let class 4400 stay in the morning as Casey has it laid out, the entry number's are huge already for this race, the course is narrow, not a lot of passing zones, For the few that want to play in the big race, Class1 isn't but a few bucks more, and you get to say you did it.

For the guy's wanting to race 4400 to race "the mint" and that aren't as fast as other cars, the morning race is definatly the place to be, besides, someone's got a hell of a good shot at the overall!

Sorry Rob, I wasn't counting the UTV/Fruit Boot crowd Guess that makes 1.5 people in this thread that have raced there

Are we going to be under ultra4 rules or will we need to make any changes for crandon tech?

Mint 400 info from the BITD Website, "posted 2/22/12" (It's only 2/21, so let's go with today):

We are up to 248 Intents, remember the limit for the race is 300 entries, so 52 more people can enter, that's it! Also, an Intent IS NOT an entry form, you will NOT be in the draw for start positions off an Intent, we need an ENTRY FORM to enter you in the database to draw for start positions, so if you want to be in the draw SEND IN YOUR ENTRY FORM TODAY, time is running out! Don't get mad at us if you miss the draw, again, we cannot enter you in the database without an entry form and that means you won't be in the draw, it's all connected. PLEASE send in your entry forms today! Now, do it now, don't put it off, sit down tonight and fill it out, legibly too so we can read it posted 2/22/12

Post up if you are interested in racing either of these two iconic races.

Mint is at the end of March. Crandon will be their big early season race on Fathers Day.

The rumors are true, I did sell my car, but I worked the deal to make these the last two that I get to drive.

Bring it!!!

Dave

since this year the Crandon race is not on the series schedule... what will the minimum drivers age be for ultra 4 cars ?

Crandon would be insane! For those of you that have seen the track it would be epic having Ultra4 tires on it!

I'd pass on the Mint. Three, 85 miles laps in the morning is only the Mint 255.

The Mint 255 is better than bench racing on the web every day of the week.
