Here's a pic of the remains of Chris and Darin's rear tire after running on it for 7 laps in the final.... After a third and a win in their two heats, they got a flat on the first lap of the final. Sucks...

We also had a blast, like every other NCRR I have attended, the racing was top notch, and a ton of fun.... If only we could figure out a way to go back in time 30 years, and plant some good shade trees in the pits...... than it would be awesome

Awesome event as always. I was stoked to see the big turn out, that's always a great thing for any event. The NCRR crew did a great job, and I think that using the entire day, the way you did, worked out great. There was a little down time between rounds, but that's expected, and needed. I think the spectators feel they get more for their money when the racing lasts all day. Of course, there is always the chance of it just dragging and taking too long, but I don't feel that was the case at all. I think there is some good racing taking place around the backside of the spectator hill that many people don't realize. It's a great area of the track, and the double allowed more aggresive drivers to catch those that didn't want to attempt it. Great course, and yes, the longer course makes things fun. The added rock made things interesting as well. The course was tough, but it wasn't so bad that over half the field went down, but it did find some weak points on a few rigs. Great racing by all the drivers, and a fantastic effort by all the teams. None of the drivers can do that by themselves. It's the friends and families that go help to turn wrenches, and be there for support that many times help keep them going. Congrats to the NCRR crew for another great event in the books, and I'm really looking forward to going to the next event. **edit** Oh John, and I might be dodging cones this year, but my rig runs.
