Cool This was kinda cool

I'm just about to promote my first event (not the first I've put on, but first I've promoted) in a couple of weeks. One of the deals I had with the town was that I would not seek out sponsors in their area since they have a fair coming up a few weeks after my event. So, it's been kind of tough to get any backing at all for the event. Guy from our club handed me $50 last night to put toward the event. Didn't have a business to pimp or even want his name announced. Just knew I didn't have much backing & wanted to do his part to see to it that I had some success & could continue to put on these events. Gave me a sense of pride to know that folks enjoy what I'm doing & really want to see it continue. It also puts into perspective how much folks are counting on me not to fawk up

'tis a fact. I've pretty much given up on any extra backing for this upcoming event. I'm concentrating on the next one though as it's going to be much more expensive to put on. The good news is, it's in my hometown & I know PLENTY of business owners there

Good Luck, I imaging putting on events is a pretty tall order especially when you have a day job.
