Events around the Boston area?

My friend lives in Danvers, MASS, around the North shore by the ocean. He's been looking for places to go to competetive mudbogs or trailrides or anythign in the area. Preferabally under a 1.5 hour drive to the place. Does anyone know of anything?

I think you need one of these if you want something that close:

Only big organized events on the east coast are at Paragon in PA and Jellico, KY/Attica,IN

Check out Mount Madness in Ossippee, NH. The Yankee Toys has their annual fall gathering there in September. Its a new OHV park that is cutting new trails all the time.

Also, join any of the EC4WD Region D clubs in the area. One of the "perks" is the use of private property for wheeling.

Check out these links:

On Sunday June 29th, starting at 12:00, NETLCA is sponsoring a 4x4 show. at A&W, 460 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI, 02828.
Your friend might want to attend, it will be a good chance to meet local wheelers from the area.
Free admission. No entry fees.

Tell him to go to the Danvers mall on Wednesday nights in the summer. It's a car show but there is also plenty of lifted trucks hanging out. A good place to meet local wheelers.
