Did you guys notice that in Farmington we don't start running until 11am on Friday and 1pm on saturday? I wonder if they want us to run late because they are gonna do fireworks, or if they just think the crowd will be better? Ohh well gives me more time to sleep in!

What did you guys think of the E-mail they sent us?

I wonder if they are going to have lights setup for night wheelin'? That would be SWEET. I don't mind starting later - just means I can drink more of your beer the nights before!

Anyone want to speculate or start rumors on who the VIPs are going to be. I assume they are expecting a potential event sponsor to be there to check things out.

I have competed in three lighted night events. It's a blast!

Night events rule. Less heat, bigger crowds, and the rigs look better under the lights.

Remember we just had summer solstace, the longest day of the year and it doesn't get dark here until after 9:00 PM.
I'm pretty sure it's all about our good, afternoon crowds showing up.
No one wants to pay $10.00 in the early afternoon only to see a couple of hours remaining of the show.
Bob H. just got through making that mistake with a small field and a 9:00 AM start time. Some of the Sunday crowd was just showing up when it was almost all over with.

We've run into the same thing with mud. On Saturday, I try not to start any earlier than 7:00 p.m. if at all possible, not before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, not before 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. People work on Saturdays around here & they go to church on Sunday.
