If they actually go through with the Stock Class, then the Legends class should be allowed to run 37" tires.

The stock class is a go for next year in UROC, anyone know if they are going to try it at Super Crawl?

I heard that it probably won't happen for supercrawl through a reliable source - anyone else heard anything. I am bummed. I really wanted to go again this year.

I agree...37's are a norm on trailrigs nowadays. That would be a great size.

On another note, I'll suggest them actually opening the rules a bit more regarding frames and other mods now that they will have this super-stock class. More along the lines of CalRocs "Pro Class"

I agree. I this class is to resemble capable trail rigs (which I understand that it is) they need to loosen the rules a bit. I bet most people will be running 39's or 40's next year in the top class.

I think they can loosen the tire requirements and modification requirements a bit and get better participation. Keep the full blown rock buggies out.

Hell, I think Amy Bullock was running 37's shaved down to a 36" diameter this year anyway.

Why is that? Some of the top competitors are running them in Neuroc but then Shupee came along and still spanked everyone on his 37's. I thought 37's were the "rock crawling tire". Maybe bigger IS better, it's just that there were no Krawlers that were bigger than 37. Anyone think there is going to be a 42 or 44" Krawler or MTR?

I think bringing the legends one size up in tire is a good idea, then leave the stock mod class's at 36. In Nueroc, legends and stock mod basicaly run the same size tire and I think it would be nice to further seperate them.

It is my assumption that most of the big names are runnig the Goodyears these days only because they come in a 40" size. We did in Cedar City and loved them. I presume BFG will have the 39" crawler availible to most folks next season. Maybe some of the smaller buggies will still run 37's but I think for the most part they will be forgotten when the 39 comes out.

FYI many teams still choose to run the 37s (even though they have access to the 39/40) because of reliability factors. For instance, we wiped out the entire rear end of our rig in Farmington - the axle shafts, ARB, and R&P were all trashed. I'm sure the 40's were a factor in trashing the rear end...

woww!!

Didn't realize that Lance. Maybe you need to pull a plug wire off that shortstar or put a tennis ball under the skinny pedal- I saw you guys gettin it out there.

I'm staying 37's for these reasons.
