So my total from Fernley was 367
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to Fernley.
That was such an awesome experience! I was way scared on Saturday and not quite sure I could do it. I have to say thanks to everyone in the unlimited class, especially Kelly, for helping me get over it and drive. I made it through the first course and started all but one in the two days, so I'm thinking that's not too bad for my first time out. Thanks to everyone standing at the bottom of course one on Sunday yelling while I bent the fawk out of my draglink and tie rod. That was great! Nate said that I was stuck on a rock, but I didn't realize it was a 3 1/2 foot boulder. It definitely made driving the next 3 courses interesting, steering is overrated anyway. ![]() Nate and I should have the buggy length and movement figured out by JV. Once we change the steering box, get some limiter straps and some new coils I think we'll be good to go. To all the competitors- the drop zone that I used to skydive at had a rule that after your first solo jump you had to buy everyone a beer that had been jumping longer, sort of a rite of passage. So keeping with that tradition, I'll bring a cooler of beer to JV since you all are way better drivers than me. You're all awesome! On the rocks, Arora Oh yeah, also thanks to Shane for not throwing me in the pool, or dropping me on the pool deck either for that matter.

Arora, great job for your first comp. Hell, I remember my 1st one last year, I didn't even complete a course and took 2 minutes avoiding starting gates. It only gets better from here. Good luck in JV.

Thanks Darren. Way to go on the 33! You are amazing to watch, especially now that I understand the amount of skill needed to get through the courses. I think Nate and I have some work to do on learning the buggy so we can pick better lines. Yeah, I came seriously close to the start gates on two of the courses and I think I backed into one too. Oh well. Thanks for all the help. You rock!
