Obtaining Sponsors
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on those getting into this sport on the best way to obtain sponsors. In my case we are a team of a previous driver and new spotter with a completely new, and not even close to finished rig. We will be running Legends class in ERocC and maybe in NEURocC. We do have a list of people to start with but we just were currious if there is a particularly good method to present ourselves, whether through presentation, letter, or phone conversations. Obviously, in our case, our biggest downfall is we really don't have any "team" pictures or videos, but we do have video and pictures of the driver and his previous spotter (rig was the spotters).
Any help would be great as both of us are college students strapped for cash which usually goes straight to our rigs. Thanks in advance. |

Definitely don't want to play that angle when it comes time to talk to sponsors. Remember, they're not in the business of handing out charity. They're in BUSINESS. What can YOU do for them? TEX
