UA2017

So I was checking to see if the email application had been open yet and it says "form returned". I never noticed that before. Is that returned to them or to me like it didn't go through? Do you guys have that ?

Reading around on various forums about where the UA will go this year. Alaska has been said several times as guesses of course but that got me thinking. If selected my co-pilot would need to get a passport. Do you think they would have put that in the required things needed on the info before applying?

You would think so. You can get in to Canada without, or could a few years ago but it would make life a lot easier. You could ferry the vehicle up and fly to Alaska and skip having to go in Canada. I'd think with JKX going to Alaska last year it would be somewhat of a copycat trip even if they went to different places. Not that wheeling wouldn't be absolutely amazing, but with a similar trip going last year I'd think it'd be poor timing.

Oh all that room so nice!! Man the truck looks awesome on 42's . I want to hear more on the #far2017 and and if your near az maybe I can wheel with ya!!

I will say that the trip is more likely to have a Scout on it this year than it is to go to Alaska...

I saw one of the facebook posts from a while back that they were going to accept applications till mid April because they were late getting it on the website.

I think once the dirty dozen comes out you find out you didn't get in.

The dirty dozen knows for a week or two before it is formally posted.

Hoping so regardless of which of us IH guys get picked. Also it could be that one of the Cronies is building a Scout...right? Isn't McGee building one?

Nope...just hope you get the call for the Dirty Dozen (or whatever it may be called this year). Once it is posted....then it is officially over for the rest of us for the year.

Ya it was an awesome trip, perfect weather great snow, Andrew and Travis have a bunch of pictures on their Facebook pages. I have a bunch on mine as well

Had to pull the diff on the trail, broke a short side inner and couldn't get the spline chunk out. the breakage made for a short day of wheeling but it was a fun trail fix.

Yeah Trent is building a Scout but I don't think that it will be completed/reliable in time for UA this year.

Pewe used to make calls to prospective UA invitees on April 1st, but this year things are a little behind. They are still taking applications but Christian will be making calls and picking readers this month.

At least no running out of gas and hiking for fuel this year....

Trip looks rad, I regret not going when Andrew offered up a seat.

We Had PLENTY of fuel this year. I didn't even get into my reserves. It all depends on snow condition. The year we ran out the snow was all sugar and required HP/ wheel speed to go any where, this year was wet and packy and was real crawlable.

We'll be doing it again next year you should go.

That's because you weren't dragging me this year. Snow is not the only fuel consumption factor.

That was a fun trip! You should some next year.....

1st gear was gone but you were good once you got going fast enough to catch 2nd. Not a ton of snow but good thing there wasn't that would have been a nightmare.
