Lucie and I won't be out there, though we wish we could be. I loved it out there last year. The family that owns the land were also really nice to hang out with.

Just got home. 2.5 hour drive. Nasty weather, 45 and rainy. All obsatacles were slick! Lots of 40's. No real nasty rolls. Not sure on placement for the day, but I know Mat Deas was running a -1 for the day. Got really phucking cold and left!

We were there yesterday until the weather just plain sucked. Was 60* here in Asheville at 5 am, but 40* and windy in Jellico at 9 am.
Anyway, the courses were sloppy as hell. All day I never saw anybody make the climb on #1 or #2. Saw some good rollovers (no injuries) and the onset of Moonbuggies in the southeast. Matt Deas' new rig is simply awesome as is Rusty Bray's new buggy. Matt told us he was at -1 with 1 obstacle left. Overall, the event seemed much less organized than previous Jellico events. Only 1 food vendor and 1 parts vendor (Rhino Industies). Maybe the weather played a part in this...

The food situation is related to a Hepatitis issue in the lower part of the county and more stringent rules imposed by County Dept of Health. Nothing UROC could do about it... rules were pretty last minute and only one vendor could meet the rules in the short time frame.

I have heard from a few people that Matt Deas buggy looks great. The Badlands Machine Shop built it for Brian Hamilton then he sold it to Matt and I haven't seen it since it left here last summer. Can't wait to see the pictures.

The event was ok. I didn't mind the courses just hated the rain on Saturday and Snow flurries on Sunday morning. I'm just now figuring out how to work my buggy and that thing works great. Thanks Badlands!
Also, thanks to MIG offroad for their support both days and to the recovery crew who worked hard all weekend. Go Flash Productions, I know you got some good video.

I'll tear the front end down this week and see if the Lock Right was the only damage. If so, it should just be a matter of replacing it and going on.

Pretty good event. organization was a little lacking sat. morning. snow and rain all weekend definately sucked.
Glad to help out Team # 254, Rusty and Big D for the weekend. MIG Offroad had 3 sponsored rigs in the top 10 this weekend in both classes, and we're extremely proud of all of them. Team # 254 Rusty Bray / Daryl "D" Motley 4th Place finish. Team # 213 Josh Wilson / Nick Arlinghaus 10th Place finish. Team # 673 Kim and Droopy Sears 8th Place finish. Thanks to all the competitors for sticking out the weather. Conn

Fortunately, the roll doesn't appear to have caused any major damage, and (waiting on Mike's confirmation) it looks like its just the front lock right. Mike's rig is well proven, and I'd agree, a little tricky to drive. Especially when the first time is in a competition environment, by a first time comp driver (Todd, usually my spotter).
