Daytona Truck Week
I know I've probably brought this up before, but I'd love to see something like this.
We already have Speedweek & Bike Week. Why not Truck Week? A whole week comprised of 4x4 motorsports of all kinds - rock crawling, CORR racing, mud bogs, mud drags, truck pulls (diesel & gas), Tough Trucks, and Monsters. And naturally, the pretty-truck/mall-crawl crowd would be well represented (and provide most of the profits). So, who wants to promote this thing? This could make the Indy Jamboree Nationals look small by comparison TEX

Tex this is a good idea, but will not happen. Here is why. All the 4x4 sanctioning bodies are not connected, and the logistics would be a nightmare. Bike Week is mostly run or affiliated with the AMA and DIS. Speedweeks is all interconnected to DIS. NASCAR and ARCA are affiliated and Grand-AM is affiliated with NASCAR because it is owned by the same family that owns NASCAR, the France Family. This would be possible, but it is not practical and would be too much of a risk to lose alot of money. The reason that Indy Jambo is successful is simple it is one of many events held across the county. This will not cut it with the France Family because they do not stand to make a chunk of the money.

Carlisle productions in central PA entertains multiple user groups@ the All Truck show. This year they had an exhibition rock pile, diesel truck pulls, burnout contest and exhibition freestyle MX jumping. They are very open to new ideas if you can sell it. Bruce from Rausch Creek has been working with them for several years with increasingly better results each year! It is a cool place for a truck show.
